Our aim at Winscombe Nursery School is to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which children aged 2-5yrs can learn through play.
Activities follow the children’s interests with staff planning to meet individual needs and encourage development in all areas of learning.
Winscombe Nursery School is open term-time from 9am-12pm. Our setting is based in a large annexe off Winscombe Community Centre and opens onto a field with easy access to the Strawberry line footpath, nearby woods, local play areas and nature reserve. These provide lots of opportunities to play and explore outdoors.
Our qualified team of staff work within the new Early Years Foundation Stage which sets down requirements for care and education and we use a balance of child-led and adult-led activities and a wide range of resources to help children discover and explore.
SADLY, DUE TO LOW NUMBERS OF CHILDREN FOR SEPTEMBER AND THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE, WINSCOMBE NURSERY SCHOOL WILL CLOSE AT THE END OF THE SUMMER TERM 2014. THE STAFF WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED US OVER THE YEARS.
